Cyber fraud is skyrocketing and it is costing banks big time. Scammers are using photo playbacks, 3D masks, prerecorded videos, and other advanced spoofing methods to commit fraud. But traditional verification systems - built to verify the identity of signers - have a hard time detecting if a real person is presenting these verifications.
This puts banks at significant risk of unauthorized signatures and identity fraud.
That is why we built Leegality Smart User Liveliness - an AI-based face liveliness solution that detects if the real authorised signer is signing your documents.
With Leegality Smart User Liveliness, each liveliness verification attempt is automatically cross-checked against an enormous dataset of similar actions. This ensures that the signing is attempted by a real person and weeds out any anomaly.
Combined with Leegality Face Match- which verifies the identity of your signer against their KYC photographs - this feature ensures that your signer is actively present during the eSigning process.
How Leegality Smart User Liveliness Works
From the Settings, your Admin will be able to “Enable Smart User Liveliness” for your organisation.
Once enabled, you will be prompted to set an accuracy threshold for the AI-based user liveliness verification.
The signer is allowed to eSign only if the liveliness threshold is met.

As a sender, you can enable Smart User Liveliness for your invitee.
Once enabled, the sender will be able to set the number of times the signer can reattempt the user liveliness verification.
In the Invitee card, the sender can view the number of reattempts remaining for each signer.

Once the signer has previewed the document, the system will prompt them to start face capture for user liveliness detection.
The signer will be asked to move closer to the camera for liveliness testing.
If user liveliness is successfully detected, the signer can proceed to sign the document.
Results of the liveliness test will be shown on the Details page after the document is signed. It will also be captured as 3 photographs in the Audit Trail.
